Chase HQ was a very popular arcade racer at one time, and this TurboGrafx-16 port of the game is probably the best home version of the game available. The graphics are very well done, the music is great, and the car-smashing game play of the arcade game is all intact as well. The voiced dialog is a bit muffled, but that's understandable considering this is a home version of the game. There have been quite a few ports of this arcade hit on various consoles and home computers, but fans of the game will likely tell you that next to the arcade original, this is the best you can get. It's not great, but it's still a good old-fashioned arcade racer that old school arcade fans will enjoy.

There are a lot of well-known cute 'em up shooter series out there that get a lot of attention, but sadly Star Parodier isn't one of them. That's a shame, as it's easily one of the best cute shooters ever made. Outstanding and over-the-top visuals and an amazing soundtrack full of upbeat and silly tunes to keep the action flowing all abound throughout this unique and captivating shoot 'em up. You can even take control of a flying Bomberman or an actual PC Engine console that shoots out Hucards and CDs. This is one of the best shooters you can find on the TurboGrafx-16 and this will mark it's first appearance here in the US.

Final Soldier is yet another amazing PC Engine shooter that never made it to the United States the first time around. This is actually the middle game in the three Star Soldier releases available for the TurboGrafx-16 console between Super Star Soldier and Soldier Blade. The game is not as difficult as Super Star Soldier, but it will still give shooter veterans a run for their money. The timed Caravan Mode is intact and as much fun as ever. If you're a fan of the Star Soldier titles, you're in for a real treat with this import PC Engine title. It's not quite as good as Soldier Blade, but it's very close and a worthy addition to the Virtual Console.

Very few words can accurately describe how much Ys Book I & II means to the rpg genre. This game was far ahead of its time and was one of the first console rpgs to feature animated cutscenes and full voiced dialog. It might not look like much visually, but this is one stunning rpg experience from start to finish. Neutopia and Neutopia 2 were both amazing action rpgs, but there's just something about the overall presentation and style found in Ys Book I & II on the TurboGrafx-16 CD console that will keep you coming back to it for years to come. A true classic in every sense of the word. A must buy for rpg fans.
